My heart was shattered when I heard the report.. and since then I have cried at some point every day.. we are soon to have our 13th grandchild.. I longed to reach out.. to help bring solace and strength in these early days of mourning. How can I help, LORD?
I have asked, over and over again.
And so many others have asked me, Where can we go, Rev. Rhonda? What can we do? They, too, feel helpless, yet they want just as desperately to share their love and support.
Therefore, I decided to create a special page just so we can have a place to mourn, a place to grieve - as Connecticut's loss, is our loss, too.
I chose Eric Clapton's Tears In Heaven because that song was his pain being manifested, when he and his wife also lost
a son unexpectedly . I still pray for them.
Jesus said we are to love one another;
we are to weep with others when they weep, and rejoice with others when they rejoice.
Today, we are still weeping bitterly for these precious 26 lives that were gunned down so mercilessly.. yet we rejoice knowing that for people of faith, to be absent from the body, is to be present with the LORD!
Jesus also told us to love our enemies,
to pray for them, and to do good to them.
We grieve for the loss of the mother of the gunman, too.. and for the family that he so tragically left behind.
They are all welcome to grieve here with us.
I invite everyone to stay, and browse the site and perhaps, take comfort in the Prayer Closet, or find understanding in a song I wrote the first Christmas after my father passed away, entitled First Christmas.
It is found on the Spirit of Christmas Page.
The Navigation Key is located on the far right of this page.
Any of the women here would love to help you. My sister-in-law Becky of Rebecca's Hope Chest is a retired CHiPs Dispatcher/
Supervisor. She knows trauma. My close friend Connie from Valley of Beracah ministers at the Pregnancy Clinic. She knows the value of life. And I am a Biblical Christian Counselor who suffered a massive stroke. I know survival. We are all mothers and grandmothers who care deeply for you.
And now, Father GOD, may You use this place as a place of healing to any who come burdened and shrouded in sorrow, in Jesus' holy name, I pray, Amen and Amen.

Author's Note
"This memorial poem is written as for a little Girl. To read it for a little boy, just insert "he" and "him" in place of "she" and "her".
In the Boy's version I made a few minor changes, such as changing "her rosebud lips" into "his lips curving into a half-moon", so it wouldn't sound as feminine. God bless you ~ CMF
